Hey everyone!
Alright, so my family and I just got in town and we're so excited for this event! Already there're Bronies everywhere, and every person I've met has been super friendly and welcoming. Tomorrow we'll be setting up at vendor booth H11, so if you're here at the event and you get a chance, I'd love it if you could drop by and say hi!
I'd also like to give a special thanks to the artists who've made this possible. The first of this group is of course , who created all of the canon ponies that are available as miniatures or full-sized laser cuts. Nekocrispy/CrispyChris has been such a huge supporter of my work in everything from providing all the artistic material I could want to providing me valuable feedback that has shaped my entire creative process. I literally cannot thank him enough! (but I can still try )
has also been extremely supportive, providing artwork and helping me to etch his Equestrian architectural studies on 8 x 10 inch wood panels. You can see some of the products of this collaboration below!
has been awesome as well! I totally contacted her out of the blue, but throughout the entire process of prepping her piece Reunion to be etched, she has been encouraging and supportive. It really meant a lot, so thank you!
Last but not least, put up with me once again as we created a new laser cut of echoes of love for the 2015 BABScon charity auction! We tried to pull out all the stops on this one, making a larger piece than I'd even done before. It's also been finished with a pour-on epoxy (it looks like glass) and Ego even signed the back! I don't think I've ever been more proud of one of my works and I can't wait to get it to the BABScon staff!
Well, that about sums it up Thanks for checking this out, and here's to a successful first pony convention!

DeviantART is my primary online presence again.
I just needed to leave a quick update since my last journal (from 2020, wow) is no longer accurate. I pretty well stopped using Twitter in July 2023, leaving that account up just in case I need to access old contacts/messages, and occasionally I'll signal boost a friend. As a result, DeviantART became the site where I am technically the most active. I'm still largely a "digital ghost" as one of my friends so lovingly puts it, but I make an effort to pop in here at least once a week. I may even get back to uploading, but I know better than to make promises I can't be sure I'll keep XD Thank you!
Follow me on Twitter!
Hello DeviantArt, my apologies for the long absence! I have been more active on Twitter as of late, but noticed that I hadn't really mentioned the account here. Anyways, if you'd like to check it out you can find me here: http://twitter.com/Blazing_Beams
Suffering a loss and its effect on this past year
Fair warning: Personal/emotional stuff below. I hope you don't mind me sharing.
Big Mac on the left, Simba (the Golden Retriever) at the fence and Jay on the right
One year ago today, I received a call that my horse and my best friend, Big Mac, was down and in distress. I rushed home and spent all night with him, had the vet out and all that, but by the time the morning of August 1st rolled around he had shown no signs of improvement. The vet concluded that he had little to no chance of recovering from his condition (twisted gut), and so the decision was made to have him put down.
I'm not gonna lie, losing him shook me, hard. This wasn
Vet bills - $15 Emergency Commissions
Bottom line, I'm offering laser cut wood commissions (using artwork of your choice) in exchange for a donation of $15 or greater. Shipping is included, all I need is an address!
I don't have commission prices publicly posted, but for the sake of comparison they usually run in the $40-50 range. If you've thought about it before, this would definitely be the time to snag one!
Examples! Your artwork does not have to be pony, despite evidence to the contrary. Only things I'm not comfortable doing are Gore/NSFW stuff. Keep in mind I work in close proximity to my parents ^^;
Donate via GoFundMe or PayPal, however you're most comfortable! On

Hey man!
It was really cool to meet you last weekend!
Hope you're doing good!
I was running all over the place, so I never got to ask: How much did Luna go for in the auction?
It was one heck of a piece!
